QA/QC Manager - Construction (15 Years Experience)

About the role

A highly experienced QA/QC Manager with 15 years of construction experience is sought to lead and implement quality management systems for large-scale construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures full compliance with contract specifications, approved drawings, Abu Dhabi authority requirements, international standards and company QA/QC policies from project inception to final handover.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality procedures
• Establish Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements and quality procedures
• Supervise QA/QC engineers and inspectors (civil, architectural, MEP) and monitor site works with regular inspections and audits
• Control non-conformance reports and corrective and preventive actions
• Liaise with consultants and Abu Dhabi authorities (ADM/DMT, Estidama, ADDC, ADCD, Tadweer) and coordinate third-party testing and laboratory approvals
• Review material submittals, samples and technical data sheets, and monitor supplier and subcontractor quality performance
• Maintain quality records, prepare quality reports and ensure document control and traceability
• Manage QA/QC during snagging, testing, commissioning and handover, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals and warranties
• Train site teams and promote a culture of quality awareness

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 15 years of QA/QC experience in construction, with strong experience on Abu Dhabi projects
• Experience in buildings, infrastructure or mixed-use projects
• Preferred: professional certifications such as CSWIP or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, and familiarity with the Estidama Pearl Rating System
• Preferred: experience with main contractors or PMC companies in Abu Dhabi and managing QA/QC for high-value, complex projects
