QC Inspector – Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

The QC Inspector, E&I will carry out inspections and surveillance of electrical and instrumentation works on EPC projects for major oil and gas clients. The role ensures all installations comply with approved drawings, standards and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect installation of cable trays, conduits, LV/MV/Control/FO cables, lighting, earthing, panels, junction boxes, instruments and field devices.
• Verify compliance with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS standards and project specifications.
• Witness and verify continuity, insulation resistance, megger, HV/LV cable testing, loop checking and functional testing.
• Witness FAT, SAT, calibration and pre‑commissioning activities.
• Review and raise RFIs/IRs, NCRs and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, QA/QC engineers and client representatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of QC experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, power plant or EPC projects.
• Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, inspection procedures and turnover packages.
• Willingness to work in remote/offshore or desert environments.
