Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector

About the role

Joud Coffee, a fast‑growing specialty coffee brand in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector to safeguard the quality, safety and consistency of all food products produced in its central kitchen and served across its outlets. The role acts as the frontline guardian of food safety, ensuring every product meets brand standards and UAE regulations before it reaches the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct end‑to‑end quality checks from raw material receipt through preparation, portioning, packaging and dispatch.
• Verify labeling compliance with UAE standards, including nutritional information, allergens, production and expiry dates, and storage temperature.
• Monitor portion weights, appearance, texture and taste against approved specifications.
• Oversee temperature monitoring and cold‑chain verification for chilled and frozen items during storage and dispatch.
• Ensure consistent application of GMP and HACCP principles, monitor CCPs and oPRPs daily, and initiate corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Assess hygiene and sanitation of kitchen equipment, surfaces, utensils and food‑contact materials.
• Inspect incoming goods for freshness, packaging integrity, temperature compliance and required certificates.
• Collaborate with procurement to communicate quality expectations and evaluate supplier performance.
• Design and deliver food‑safety induction programmes for new kitchen and restaurant staff.
• Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections by ADAFSA and Dubai Municipality.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in F&B operations within the UAE, preferably in QSR, cafés or food‑retail chains.
• BSc degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Hotel Management or a related field.
