Quality Control (QC) Engineer - Fit-Out and Joinery

About the role

The Quality Control (QC) Engineer monitors and inspects fit-out and architecture works so that materials, manufacturing processes, installations and completed works meet approved drawings, project specifications and company quality standards. The role covers both site inspections and joinery production.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular quality inspections at project sites and in joinery production.
• Inspect completed works, materials, finishes and installations against approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor quality through all stages of joinery manufacturing, including fabrication, assembly, painting, polishing and finishing.
• Ensure site execution and installation works meet the required workmanship and quality standards.
• Identify defects, non-conformities and deviations and coordinate corrective actions with the relevant departments.
• Prepare inspection reports, snag lists, quality checklists and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Production Supervisors and Technical Teams to resolve quality issues.
• Verify materials and finishes against approved samples and specifications before use.
• Carry out final inspections and ensure outstanding defects are fixed before project handover.
• Maintain quality documentation, inspection records and project quality reports.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, approved procedures and relevant authority standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in quality control within interior fit-out, construction or joinery.
• Strong knowledge of fit-out construction, joinery manufacturing, installation methods, materials and finishes.
• Good understanding of quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• UAE fit-out or joinery industry experience is preferred.
