Quality Control Team Lead

About the role

The Quality Control Team Lead oversees and implements quality control systems across construction projects in the UAE, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contract requirements and local and international standards. The role leads site QC teams, runs inspections and audits, reviews method statements and ITPs, coordinates with construction, technical office and consultant teams, and supports timely delivery while minimising rework.

Key responsibilities

• Create an Inspection Test Plan (ITP) covering all materials, including inspection types, surveys and steps.
• Plan and administer laboratory testing, interpret results, compare them to specifications and ensure compliance.
• Take part in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform routine and non-routine tests of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples and finished goods.
• Review methods of statement from the shop drawing team and communicate the quality plan to subcontractors.
• Present material submittals to the project consultant, including material quality and data sheets.
• Respond to internal and external inspection requests (IR) by inspecting products and materials with consultants.
• Assess and calibrate project equipment and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering.
• 7-9 years of experience in the UAE is a must.
• Proven experience on TAQA projects is required.
• PMP is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and techniques for manufacturing and distribution.
• Inspection test plans, laboratory testing and calibration.
