Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join ZAS Constructions LLC in Dubai. The role involves overseeing all commercial and contractual aspects of fit‑out, construction and renovation projects from inception through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender documents based on drawings and specifications.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs and measurements for all trades and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost plans.
• Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations, negotiate contracts and ensure cost competitiveness.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets, manage variations, change orders and claims, and produce regular cost reports.
• Prepare interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts, and certify subcontractor payments.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks, support cash‑flow forecasting and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement teams and clients to achieve commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of quantity surveying experience in the UAE, preferably in interior fit‑out, construction and renovation.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, market rates, procurement procedures and FIDIC contracts.
• Proven track record in cost estimation, budgeting, tendering and contract administration.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced use of AutoCAD.
• Experience with quantity surveying software.
