Quantity Surveyor – Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

Archirodon is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor specialized in Electrical & Instrumentation to join its technical office team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on cost control, material management and variation handling for EPC projects in the oil & gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage Installation Work Packages (IWP) and Workface Planning (WFP) using advanced work package methodology.
• Analyze and control material quantities for Electrical & Instrumentation works.
• Evaluate contractor variations and interim payments.
• Assess cost implications of Electrical & Instrumentation activities.
• Participate in material evaluation, review analysis and finalisation for construction packages and tie‑ins.
• Track material status to expedite actions on hold items and field concerns.
• Resolve variation claims related to E&I and coordinate with field engineering for material control.
• Conduct continuous field inspections to ensure technical and quantity compliance, and support punch‑point closure, pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in cost analysis, material and cost control within EPC/EPCM construction projects.
• Good knowledge of International and ADNOC standards and oil & gas safety & quality norms.
• Proven ability to work independently, travel frequently to site and interact professionally with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
