Quantity Surveyor - Interior Fit-Out

About the role

M Qube Interiors Carpentry LLC is a Dubai-based interior fit-out and carpentry/joinery company delivering residential, commercial, retail and corporate projects, including custom joinery, gypsum and ceiling works, partitions, flooring and painting. It is hiring a full-time Quantity Surveyor to support accurate cost planning and commercial control from tender through project completion.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and scope documents, and prepare detailed quantity take-offs and bills of quantities for fit-out and joinery works.
• Develop cost estimates and tender pricing for materials, labour, subcontractors and project activities.
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations, clarifying scope and commercial assumptions.
• Track project costs, commitments, variations and payment applications, keeping accurate commercial records.
• Measure completed work, assess claims and support interim valuations and final accounts.
• Coordinate with project managers, draftsmen, procurement, site teams and clients on quantity and cost discrepancies.
• Monitor budgets and flag cost risks, scope changes and potential savings.

Required profile

• Practical experience in quantity surveying, estimating or commercial administration for interior fit-out, construction or carpentry/joinery projects.
• Ability to interpret architectural and joinery drawings, specifications and schedules and produce accurate take-offs.
• Knowledge of fit-out trades and materials such as joinery, furniture, gypsum ceilings, partitions, flooring and finishes.
• Commercial awareness, numerical accuracy and a methodical approach to checking measurements and quotations.
• Clear communication and coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, site teams and project managers.
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise concurrent project requirements and report cost issues promptly.

Required skills

• Preparing bills of quantities, cost estimates, tender comparisons, progress valuations, variation assessments and final accounts.
• Confident Excel skills and familiarity with quantity-surveying or estimating software.

What we offer

• Monthly pay of USD 3,000 to 6,000.
