Quantity Surveyor – Joinery Specialist

About the role

Dutco Interiors is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a focus on joinery projects. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, monitoring budgets, and ensuring that all joinery work is delivered on time and within financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for joinery works, covering materials, labour and equipment.
• Analyse project drawings and specifications to calculate material quantities.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors and suppliers to identify cost‑effective solutions.
• Track project expenses, compare actual spend against forecasts and report variances.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive rates.
• Produce progress and final financial reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6‑8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor on joinery‑focused projects.
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, techniques and industry standards.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and within a team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with estimating software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
