Radiography Technologist

About the role

The Radiography Technologist will deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging services across the Medical Imaging Department of American Hospital Dubai. The role combines patient care, equipment operation, and collaboration with radiologists to ensure accurate and safe examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general and specialized radiographic procedures including Mammography, Interventional/Fluoroscopy, Portable X‑ray, C‑arm, O‑Arm, and DEXA examinations.
• Prepare patients, select appropriate techniques, calibrate equipment, and obtain high‑quality images while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
• Review imaging requests and prior studies, schedule patients, and prioritize emergency cases in coordination with radiologists.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety checks, and inventory of imaging equipment and accessories.
• Assist the Technical Director with quality improvement, education programs, and departmental audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Radiography/Radiology Technology or Medical Imaging.
• Active registration in home country and a valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license.
• Minimum of two years recent radiographic experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Mammography, Fluoroscopy, Portable X‑ray, C‑arm, O‑Arm, and DEXA imaging.
• Equipment calibration and maintenance for X‑ray systems.
• Radiation safety and protection protocols, including gonadal shielding.
• MRI safety screening and contrast assessment procedures.
• Data analysis and audit within a medical imaging department.
• Quality improvement and education program support.
