Rail System Engineering Lead

About the role

The Rail System Engineering Lead will join RINA’s Project Engineering Division in Abu Dhabi, overseeing the technical execution of high‑value rail projects. The role ensures that all technical deliverables meet quality, safety and industry standards while coordinating multidisciplinary contributions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical assessment and feasibility studies during the proposal phase, integrating contributions to develop accurate proposals.
• Lead the technical implementation of projects, ensuring delivery meets content quality, milestones and project requirements.
• Manage and supervise the project engineering team, assigning tasks and coordinating with engineers, subcontractors and the Discipline Manager.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures, enforcing quality assurance processes and addressing deviations.
• Ensure compliance with technical regulations, safety standards and promptly resolve related concerns.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation, prepare reports and presentations for client distribution.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering technical development within the team.
• Act as a communication bridge between technical teams, the Project Manager and stakeholders.
