Raw Material Planner – Chemical/Paint/Coatings Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Raw Material Planner to support our chemical, paint and coatings manufacturing operations in Umm Al Quwain. The role will ensure uninterrupted production by accurately forecasting material needs and managing inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage raw material requirements using production plans, demand forecasts, MRP, inventory levels, safety stock, MOQ and supplier lead times.
• Identify potential material shortages, monitor open purchase orders and supplier commitments, and coordinate with procurement to secure timely deliveries.
• Optimize inventory by tracking excess, slow‑moving, obsolete and near‑expiry items while maintaining accurate planning parameters and master data in the ERP system.
• Generate regular shortage, availability and inventory reports to provide visibility for management and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in material planning or MRP, preferably in paint, chemical or manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• Knowledge of inventory control techniques and safety stock calculations.
• Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and production planning concepts.
• Experience maintaining master data in an ERP environment.
