Real Estate Manager

About the role

The Real Estate Manager will lead the Real Estate component of Alshaya's Retail Property function across the United Arab Emirates. Reporting to the Head of Property and Senior Real Estate Manager, the role oversees new store openings, site selection, lease negotiations and portfolio optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate, negotiate and manage lease contracts from inception to renewal, ensuring competitive rates and favourable terms.
• Identify, investigate and evaluate potential retail sites, recommending optimal locations in malls and street fronts.
• Develop and maintain store opening schedules, review store layouts and coordinate with business units.
• Produce regular reports for line management and stakeholders, highlighting costs, risks and investment analysis.
• Manage and develop the Real Estate team, defining structure and ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Advise on legal aspects of leases, insurance and other property‑related issues.
• Maintain Alshaya systems and ensure compliance with company policies and market guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate, lease negotiation and property management within a retail environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost control and commercial risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building capabilities.
