Reception Manager – Front‑of‑House & Reservations

About the role

Sunset Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Reception Manager to lead the front‑of‑house reception and reservations operations for its award‑winning lifestyle dining concepts, SUSHISAMBA and Signor Sassi. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, optimizing seating strategies, and collaborating closely with restaurant management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Reception, Hostess, and Reservations team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Manage daily reservations, table allocation, waitlists, and seating strategy to maximize covers and revenue.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with VIP guests, regular clientele, and hotel partners.
• Handle guest enquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Work closely with Restaurant Managers and Operations to optimise service flow during peak periods.
• Maintain exceptional grooming, service standards, and front‑of‑house presentation.
• Coach, train, and develop the reception team to achieve operational excellence.
• Monitor reservation trends, prepare reports, and use insights to improve guest satisfaction and business performance.
• Schedule the reception team and ensure coverage aligns with business needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within luxury restaurants or lifestyle dining concepts.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume operations and lead multicultural teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Excellent communication, guest engagement, and service recovery skills.
• Highly organised, energetic, and able to work under pressure.
• Fluent in English; additional languages such as Italian, Russian, French, or Spanish are an advantage.

Required skills

• Experience with reservation platforms, specifically SevenRooms or similar systems.
