Recreation Entertainment Expert

About the role

The Recreation Entertainment Expert serves as the primary point of contact for all guest recreation activities at the Sheraton property in Dubai. This role ensures guests are informed about, encouraged to use, and safely enjoy the hotel’s pools, beach, entertainment zone, fitness centre, and children’s activities centre.

Key responsibilities

• Provide detailed information on available recreation facilities and programmes.
• Recruit, register, and schedule guests for various leisure activities.
• Promote a fun, relaxed atmosphere while enforcing safety rules and regulations.
• Monitor activities, respond to emergencies, and assist injured guests until medical help arrives.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions, process payments for rentals, facility use, and retail sales.
• Support private functions and group events hosted within recreation areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management and complete required safety training.
• Uphold company policies, professional appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to welcome and assist all guests.
• Excellent communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to recognise unsafe situations and act promptly.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and move equipment throughout the shift.
• Capability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals.
