Recreation Shift Leader

About the role

Sheraton is looking for a Recreation Shift Leader in Sharjah to act as a key resource for all recreation activities on the property. The role covers guest information, activity promotion and scheduling, cash handling, and the safe operation of facilities such as pools, beach, game rooms, fitness centre and children's activities.

Key responsibilities

• Inform guests about available recreation facilities and encourage them to join activities, while promoting the rules and regulations for their safety.
• Respond to emergencies in line with local operating procedures and assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Provide cashier services and process payments for rental equipment, activity bookings, facility rentals and retail sales.
• Help host private functions and group events, and report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to the manager.
• Clean and maintain facilities, equipment and supplies, and follow company policies and quality standards.
• Complete safety training and certifications, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted and standing or walking for long periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to read small print, use computers and point-of-sale systems, and move through narrow or uneven spaces.
