Recruiter - Manufacturing and Skilled Trades

About the role

The Boring Company is looking for a Recruiter to recruit top talent for roles critical to its mission, including manufacturing, assembly, welding, machining and operations positions. You will partner with internal teams to source, screen, interview and onboard candidates, working autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with production hiring managers to understand headcount needs, refine job requisitions, create targeted postings and align on hiring strategies and interview feedback.
• Sourcing skilled talent through LinkedIn, industry networks, trade schools and vocational programs.
• Screen resumes, run initial interviews and present qualified candidates to hiring managers with clear recommendations.
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including onsite interviews, candidate tours, offer negotiations and background checks.
• Identify hiring challenges and propose solutions, train hiring managers on recruiting and interviewing best practices, and organize recruitment events such as job fairs, facility tours and webinars.
• Build relationships with talent networks, trade unions and industry associations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of recruiting experience focused on production, manufacturing or skilled trade roles.
• Proven track record as an in-house or agency recruiter in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
• Preferred: experience recruiting for production roles in advanced manufacturing, infrastructure or startups.

Required skills

• Non-traditional sourcing methods such as targeted LinkedIn campaigns, industry events and apprenticeship program partnerships.
• Strong ability to distinguish top-tier talent in production fields.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with hiring managers, including director and VP-level leaders.
