Recruitment Coordinator – Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Recruitment Coordinator to lead our talent acquisition efforts. You will partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs, attract top talent, and ensure a smooth hiring process from sourcing to onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the overall recruiting strategy.
• Consult with managers to identify staff requirements and job objectives.
• Write and post job descriptions on career sites, newspapers, and university boards.
• Source candidates using databases, social media, and professional networks.
• Evaluate and screen resumes, cover letters, and assessment results.
• Conduct phone, video, and in‑person interviews and provide shortlists to hiring managers.
• Support hiring teams with interview techniques and question development.
• Coordinate onboarding sessions and prepare new‑hire paperwork in compliance with legislation.
• Maintain accurate records of interviews and hires.
• Stay current with emerging recruiting methods and tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a recruiting coordinator or recruiter.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices.
• Experience with various selection processes, including structured and competency‑based interviews.
• Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems, and candidate management platforms.
• Ability to use psychometric testing and other assessment tools.
• Comfortable leveraging social media, especially LinkedIn, for talent sourcing.
• BSc degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
