Regional Accounting Manager - Finance

About the role

AKI is seeking a technically strong, commercially aware Accounting Manager to lead regional accounting functions. This high‑impact, controller‑style role owns accounting quality, financial controls and reporting across multiple regional entities.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes for assigned regional entities, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Review and challenge financial results, balance‑sheet reconciliations, provisions, accruals, intercompany balances and significant accounting judgments.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local statutory reporting requirements and Group accounting policies.
• Lead regional statutory audits, manage external auditors and drive timely financial statement sign‑offs.
• Identify accounting and control weaknesses, implement corrective actions and improve reporting quality.
• Drive standardisation, process improvements and automation across regional accounting operations.
• Lead, develop and manage a team of 3–5 accountants.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years progressive accounting, reporting or controllership experience with team management.
• Fully qualified CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent – mandatory.
• Proven experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities, preferably in the Middle East.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and complex accounting matters.
• Demonstrated ownership of month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
