Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

About the role

Speciality Hospital Dubai is recruiting a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Room. The nurse works collaboratively with other team members to provide safe, compassionate care to patients and their families, upholding the NMC Nursing Strategy, the UAE Code of Conduct, scope of practice and licensure requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about health conditions, and give advice and emotional support to patients and their families
• Assess and identify patients' needs, implement and monitor the medical plan and treatment, and work with physicians and allied health professionals
• Perform systematic patient assessment and re-assessment, determine nursing diagnoses and create and evaluate care plans with the interprofessional team
• Record vital signs, recognise and escalate abnormalities, and perform essential life support as required
• Maintain clinical and technical skills, use early warning system escalation and emergency algorithms for deteriorating patients, and involve patients in their own care
• Support and supervise pre-registration and new nurses, participate in teaching, mentorship, clinical supervision and performance improvement plans
• Comply with infection prevention and control, occupational safety and health, safeguarding and equality and diversity policies

Required profile

• Relevant training and competency to deliver care safely, with up-to-date mandatory training
• Ability to speak up on safety concerns, act as a patient advocate and stay within the limits of own competence
• Willingness to learn new clinical skills and contribute to a learning culture
• Compliance with the UAE Code of Conduct, scope of practice and licensure
