Registered Nurse

About the role

The Royal Hospital Sharjah is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care to paediatric and neonatal patients. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient needs while ensuring safety and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and the inter‑professional team.
• Perform systematic patient assessments, record vital signs and promptly escalate any abnormalities.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products and monitor for side effects or reactions.
• Provide wound care, phototherapy, and support for chemotherapy and cytotoxic drug patients.
• Assist in invasive and non‑invasive procedures, including pre‑operative and post‑operative care.
• Deliver comprehensive neonatal and paediatric nursing care, including emergency procedures and life‑support interventions.

Required profile

• Current registered nurse licence recognised by the UAE health authority.
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
• Willingness to work across departments and be on call as needed.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.
• Administration of cytotoxic drugs and chemotherapy patient care.
• Port‑a‑cath and peripheral IV line insertion and management.
• Medication administration, IV fluid and blood product handling.
• Patient assessment, vital signs monitoring and wound care management.
