Registered Nurse – Nursing Services

About the role

The Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Nursing Services team in Sharjah. You will provide comprehensive, patient‑centered care, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure safe transport of critically ill patients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments using observation, interview, measurement and physical examination.
• Develop, update and implement nursing care plans and initiate discharge planning.
• Delegate, supervise and mentor junior staff nurses and nursing associates.
• Coordinate care with other health professionals and ensure non‑discriminatory, culturally competent service.
• Triaging, emergency management (BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP) and safe transportation of critical patients.
• Effective cannulation, hydration management and handling of medico‑legal cases.
• Maintain equipment, adhere to infection‑control protocols and protect patient confidentiality.
• Provide end‑of‑life care respecting cultural values.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification with relevant licensing.
• Experience in acute, emergency and critical care settings.
• Ability to supervise junior staff and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills for family‑centered care and hand‑over processes.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilisation) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Proficiency in cannulation and intravenous therapy.
• Knowledge of the Glasgow Coma Scale.
• Triaging and emergency algorithm application.
