Registered Nurse - Pediatric

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse specialised in paediatric care to join our team in Sharjah. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing services to children and neonates, ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout their hospital journey.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care for paediatric and neonatal patients.
• Assess patient needs, develop and monitor individualized medical plans.
• Perform systematic patient assessments, re‑assessments and collect pertinent health data.
• Determine nursing diagnoses, problems and expected outcomes.
• Create and evaluate care plans with the interprofessional team, involving patients and families.
• Record vital signs, recognise abnormalities and escalate as required.
• Maintain and update clinical skills in line with evidence‑based practice.
• Promote patient health, safety and a therapeutic environment.
• Understand and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Perform essential life‑support interventions, including Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Administer medications, monitor for side effects and manage IV fluids or blood products.
• Provide wound‑care management.
• Assist in invasive and non‑invasive medical procedures.
• Facilitate safe admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Ensure compliance with unit‑specific competencies and evidence‑based guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and certification programmes.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification with a current licence to practice in the UAE.
• Experience in paediatric and/or neonatal nursing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
