Regulatory Counsel – APAC (Dubai)

About the role

One of the world’s fastest‑growing cross‑border fintechs is looking for a Regulatory Counsel to lead its APAC legal function from Dubai. The role offers high autonomy and impact, allowing you to shape market entry, product launches and regulator relationships across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop the APAC regulatory strategy for payments, e‑money and related financial services.
• Guide the company’s entry into new APAC markets and the launch of new products.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulators, including DFSA, FSRA and equivalent APAC authorities.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks while driving business initiatives forward.

Required profile

• Approximately 8 years of post‑qualification experience in payments, e‑money or regulated financial services.
• Career that includes private practice, in‑house counsel and preferably time spent at a regulator.
• Familiarity with DFSA, FSRA or comparable APAC regulatory frameworks.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to move initiatives forward, not just flag risks.
