Reliability & Maintenance Engineer – Asset Performance

About the role

The Reliability and Maintenance Engineer (RME) Coordinator is a core member of the Engineering RME function at Amazon Robotics in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the RMEM, the role focuses on improving asset reliability and maintenance performance through data‑driven methodologies and continuous improvement tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement asset performance strategies using FMEA, Criticality Analysis and Root Cause Analysis.
• Optimize Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) across assigned equipment.
• Leverage Asset Performance Management systems and inventory analytics to identify cost‑saving and performance‑enhancing opportunities.
• Coordinate OEM activities and manage external contractors to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Maintain safety and quality priorities, managing risks to people and product.
• Coach and train shift‑based RME teams, promoting standardized work practices.
• Create and maintain engineering procedures, ensuring changes are reviewed and controlled.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of experience in reliability, maintenance or asset performance engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to apply continuous‑improvement tools.
• Technical expertise in mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
