About the role

The Biological and Life Sciences Division at MBZUAI is seeking researchers to join interdisciplinary projects such as the Human Phenotype Project and the Emirati Genome Project. The role focuses on applying artificial intelligence to multi‑omics data for precision medicine and disease‑mechanism discovery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality AI research on multi‑omics data analysis and integration.
• Design and implement innovative algorithms and predictive models for disease onset and progression.
• Collaborate with international research groups and contribute to ongoing projects.
• Analyze, interpret, and present research findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Publish results in high‑impact peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Supervise PhD, MSc students and research engineers as needed.
• Maintain and develop the lab’s AI research infrastructure.
• Participate in grant writing, educational, and outreach activities.

Required profile

• Strong research background in artificial intelligence applied to life sciences.
• Experience with multi‑omics data fusion and computational modeling.
• Proven ability to publish in reputable scientific venues.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex results.
