Research Assistant / Associate Professor – Humanities & Social Sciences

About the role

The Humanities and Social Sciences Research Centre at Ajman University is seeking a full‑time research faculty member. The role involves supporting senior researchers, conducting independent studies, and contributing to scholarly publications within the humanities and social sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior faculty on research projects and conduct comprehensive literature reviews.
• Collect, organise, and analyse data using appropriate research methods and statistical software.
• Prepare detailed research reports, summaries, and draft academic papers for publication.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing research project timelines and deliverables.
• Support grant applications and help secure research funding.
• Organise meetings, workshops, conferences, and contribute to the centre’s newsletter editing.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, ethical standards, and data confidentiality.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant humanities or social sciences discipline.
• Strong research background with solid understanding of research methodologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
