Resident Engineer – Civil (Substation Construction)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Resident Engineer – Civil to lead the construction, installation, testing and commissioning of high‑voltage substations (132 kV and above) in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure that all works meet project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements and schedule commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction and installation activities for AIS/GIS substations (132 kV and above).
• Monitor erection of transformers, switchgear, CTs, VTs, isolators, protection panels, SCADA and related equipment.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications and HSE requirements.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities and review test reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients and project teams to achieve timely delivery.
• Track project progress, prepare site reports and resolve technical issues on‑site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in substation projects, especially 132 kV and higher.
• Proven experience with AIS/GIS substations, testing & commissioning, and construction supervision.
