Resident Engineer – Construction Supervision (Building)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Resident Engineer to join our construction supervision team in Abu Dhabi. You will act as the on‑site representative, overseeing building construction activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all on‑site construction activities to ensure adherence to approved plans, specifications, and local building codes.
• Conduct daily site inspections and produce comprehensive reports on progress, issues, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to guarantee timely execution and schedule compliance.
• Implement and enforce site safety protocols, conduct regular safety briefings, and lead investigations when required.
• Review and approve construction materials, equipment, and workmanship to maintain quality standards.
• Manage technical documentation, including daily logs, inspection records, test reports, and as‑built drawings.
• Identify and resolve construction‑related issues promptly, providing recommendations for corrective measures.
• Communicate project status and concerns effectively with project management, clients, and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Professional engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in construction supervision, preferably on building projects.
• Strong analytical abilities and decisive leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required skills

• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical documentation.
• Experience with site inspection and reporting procedures.
