Resident Engineer - Enabling Works

About the role

As a Resident Engineer – Enabling Works you will act as the on‑site engineering representative for AECOM in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee all preliminary construction activities, ensuring site preparation, temporary structures and utility installations are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all enabling works, including site preparation, temporary works and utility installations.
• Inspect construction activities to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain daily site reports, logs and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with multiple trades and contractors to optimise workflow and minimise delays.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify safety hazards and enforce HSE protocols.
• Analyse construction methodologies and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Manage communication between the project team, contractors and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets, and resolve on‑site technical issues promptly.
