Resident Engineer – Structure

About the role

The Resident Engineer – Structure will lead on‑site supervision of contractor activities, ensuring work aligns with approved drawings, specifications and method statements. The role involves daily site inspections, coordination with discipline engineers and inspectors, and maintaining professional client‑contractor relations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site supervision of contractor activities and conduct daily site inspections.
• Issue site instructions, address technical queries (RFIs) and coordinate material submittals and shop drawing reviews.
• Liaise with discipline engineers, inspectors and client representatives to ensure trade coordination.
• Monitor contractor progress, report program deviations and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Maintain site documentation, NCRs, logs and reporting records.
• Mentor junior engineers and inspectors in best site supervision practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 20+ years of experience, including management of large or complex project sites.
• Mandatory experience in structural concrete and deep understanding of regional codes, contracts and construction delivery models.
• Recognised technical authority in site‑based delivery and compliance.
• Experience in building and airport projects.
