Resource Planning Officer (Automation Expert)

About the role

We are looking for a Resource Planning Officer with strong automation and analytical expertise to develop and maintain short‑, medium‑ and long‑term manpower plans that align with flight scheduling and operational needs. The role will use data‑driven techniques to optimise staff allocation while ensuring compliance with legal and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed manpower plans (short, medium, long term) aligned with flight schedules and operational demand.
• Perform “what‑if” scenario simulations to optimise staffing costs and resource allocation.
• Analyse manpower data, trends and business drivers to inform resourcing strategies.
• Regularly review plans to ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance to define and validate the manpower budget.
• Track KPIs and produce reports for management on resourcing and budgeting.
• Publish manpower rosters and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
• Work with Performance Managers to address disciplinary, training or medical issues promptly.
• Identify risks and recommend corrective actions to minimise operational impact.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year relevant experience with a degree, or 3 years without a degree.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for technology‑driven decision making.
• Experience designing KPI dashboards, forecasting models and automated reporting solutions.
• Ability to translate large operational datasets into strategic recommendations.
