Restaurant General Manager – Michelin‑starred Indian Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead the launch of a new Michelin‑starred Indian restaurant on Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi. This senior position will shape the restaurant’s service standards, guest experience, and financial performance in a high‑profile luxury hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day restaurant operations and maintain Michelin‑level service standards.
• Recruit, train, mentor and manage a high‑performing team.
• Drive guest satisfaction, build relationships with VIP and regular clientele.
• Control budgets, labour costs and operational expenses to achieve profitability.
• Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless food and service delivery.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, service standards and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
• Represent the restaurant within Abu Dhabi’s luxury hospitality community and support the opening process.

Required profile

• Proven experience as General Manager, Restaurant Manager or Operations Manager in Michelin‑starred or high‑end fine‑dining establishments.
• Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and premium dining operations (highly desirable).
• Excellent leadership, recruitment and team‑development abilities.
• Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, cost control and revenue generation.
• Fluent English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse, international team.
