Restaurant Hostess (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm and professional dining experience. Fluency in Arabic is required to assist Arabic‑speaking guests and manage reservations efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Manage the reservation system, including booking, confirming, and updating reservations.
• Organise seating arrangements to ensure smooth guest flow and service efficiency.
• Communicate wait times to guests and manage expectations during busy periods.
• Escort guests to tables, provide menus and share information about specials.
• Handle guest inquiries and requests, especially for Arabic‑speaking guests.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure tables are prepared and ready.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand, lobby, and dining area.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (speaking and writing); additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, remain calm during busy periods, and work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
