Rust Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Rust Engineer to join our international team in Abu Dhabi. The position is fully English‑speaking and involves working on a high‑availability, low‑latency internet lending platform within an AI‑driven development environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core modules such as loan origination, risk decisioning, transaction processing, and ledger.
• Write clean, idiomatic Rust (or other high‑performance languages) with comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Domain‑Driven Design modeling for microservices.
• Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to generate, refactor, and test code.
• Optimize performance, resolve concurrency and memory‑safety issues, and ensure services meet financial‑grade SLAs.
• Collaborate with a multicultural team in English across development, product, and operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of backend development experience with Rust, Go, Java or C++.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, memory management and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with Domain‑Driven Design and distributed systems concepts.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL or MySQL and comfortable writing efficient SQL.
• Fluent in English for technical discussions and written communication.
