Safety Officer / HSE Officer – Dubai Construction

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Safety Officer to protect our workforce, ensure compliance across all construction sites, and nurture a strong safety culture. You will be the key driver of HSE policies, inspections, training and incident investigations, helping us prevent hazards before they become incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve HSE policies and procedures across multiple sites and shifts.
• Conduct regular site walks, inspections and audits, documenting hazards and ensuring corrective actions are closed.
• Lead safety orientations, refresher trainings and engage crews with memorable, practical sessions.
• Investigate incidents and near‑misses using a root‑cause approach, producing clear reports and recommendations.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and ensure compliance with local, state and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with supervisors and crew leads to reinforce safe work practices without acting as a “safety police.”
• Track safety metrics, analyse trends and present actionable insights to leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HSE or Safety Officer in construction or a comparable industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and relevant UAE regulations.
• Ability to stop work when unsafe conditions exist, coupled with diplomatic communication skills.
• Excellent documentation habits and clear communication, both in training rooms and on the shop floor.
