Sales & Business Development Manager – AFC Ticketing (GCC & North Africa)

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is looking for an experienced International Sales & Business Development Manager to drive growth of Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) and ticketing solutions across the GCC and North Africa. Based in Dubai, you will work closely with public transport authorities, operators and technology partners to expand our market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in AFC, Account‑Based Ticketing (ABT), digital payments, parking and tolling projects.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract award, building a strong pipeline of metro, bus, tram and MaaS projects.
• Lead complex tendering processes, coordinate bid teams and negotiate commercial terms to secure contracts.
• Maintain strategic relationships with transport authorities, system integrators and technology partners, and represent SEGULA at industry events.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical sales and business development within rail, public transport or mobility sectors.
• Proven track record of winning large‑scale AFC and ticketing contracts in GCC countries.
• Strong understanding of the GCC transport ecosystem, including key stakeholders and competitors.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) solutions and ticketing systems.
• Experience with Account‑Based Ticketing (ABT), contactless and digital payment technologies.
• Technical expertise in system integration, software engineering, network and security infrastructure for ticketing platforms.
• Ability to manage multi‑stakeholder sales cycles and complex contract negotiations.
