Sales Engineer – Electrical

About the role

The client is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer – Electrical to drive business development and manage key accounts in the UAE’s oil & gas, industrial and infrastructure sectors. The role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to support tender processes, technical submittals and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities with EPC contractors, end users and consultants while maintaining existing client relationships.
• Handle RFQs, prepare techno‑commercial offers, review specifications, BOQs and datasheets, and submit technical submittals and pre‑qualification documents.
• Follow up on tenders, clarifications, negotiations and order awards; coordinate internally and with suppliers for order execution and delivery.
• Track ongoing projects, monitor competitors and market pricing trends, and support marketing activities, client visits and exhibitions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of UAE experience in electrical equipment or project sales, preferably with EPC contractors and oil & gas or infrastructure projects.
• Established relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, electricity boards or utility companies.
• Valid UAE driving licence and current residence in the UAE.

Required skills

• Knowledge of low‑voltage (LV) and medium‑voltage (MV) electrical cables.
• Experience with switchgear and electrical distribution systems.
• Familiarity with industrial and commercial lighting systems.
• Ability to handle RFQs, tenders, BOQs, technical submittals and techno‑commercial quotations.
