Sales Engineer - Retrofit Solutions

About the role

FJ Group is looking for a technically sharp Sales Engineer to expand its Building Retrofit Division within the hotel and hospitality sector. You will assess aging central‑plant infrastructure in hotels and resorts and design modern, sustainable heating and domestic hot‑water solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site walk‑throughs of existing hotel properties to audit legacy heating, laundry and DHW systems.
• Conceptualise and propose optimal retrofit solutions, right‑sizing equipment and integrating technologies such as air‑/water‑source heat pumps, solar thermal arrays and calorifiers.
• Translate complex mechanical layouts into compelling commercial proposals for hotel decision‑makers.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation and quoting through technical clarification to closing.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of technical sales or application engineering experience focused on the hotel/hospitality industry.
• Deep familiarity with hotel operations, guest‑comfort constraints and procurement cycles.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for site visits.
