Sales Manager, Startups

About the role

Based in Dubai, you will lead a team of Account Executives to scale new‑business revenue across startups in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. As the first‑line manager you will coach AEs, shape go‑to‑market strategies and partner with sales operations, marketing and channel teams to boost Cloudflare’s brand awareness and product adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Drive exceptional sales growth by meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual quotas.
• Manage, coach and develop a high‑performing team of Account Executives.
• Provide day‑to‑day deal support, pipeline guidance and forecasting in Salesforce.
• Source, interview and recruit top sales talent in coordination with recruiting.
• Define ideal AE profiles, onboard and ramp new hires.
• Develop and iterate programs to accelerate DNR growth and new‑product attach rates.
• Shape optimal go‑to‑market coverage and strengthen channel relationships.
• Lead quarterly business reviews and document best‑practice sales playbooks.

Required profile

• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of overall sales experience, with at least 10 years focused on startups in the ME, Turkey & Africa.
• 5+ years managing quota‑carrying sales teams with a proven record in SaaS/Cloud/Cybersecurity.
• Strong network and reputation within the cybersecurity and SaaS/cloud community in Sub‑Saharan Africa.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc.); MBA or MIS a plus.
