Seamstress / Tailor

About the role

The Lana - Dorchester Collection is hiring a Seamstress/Tailor through its partner Hosco in Dubai. The role keeps the hotel's uniforms, linen and guest items in pristine condition, supports guests with tailoring requests and helps the Valet team with small repairs. The employer offers training through an award-winning learning academy.

Key responsibilities

• Repair all uniforms, linen and other items so guests receive the best possible experience.
• Assist guests on request with tailoring items.
• Help the Valet team sew buttons and repair small damage.
• Issue new uniforms to colleagues, adjust them as needed, label and order them, and collect and issue them by department and employee number.
• Check every item is clean, stain-free and undamaged, and give laundry and linen room support as required.
• Ensure paperwork is up to date, prepare monthly reports on uniforms sent out, and keep inventories of missing, damaged or stained items.
• Follow up on outstanding items to be delivered and keep work areas clean, tidy and well stocked.
