About the role

Fortes Education is seeking an exceptional and creative Art teacher to join Sunmarke School in Dubai as Second in Faculty – Art & Design Technology. The role combines active classroom teaching with middle‑leadership responsibilities, supporting the Head of Faculty in driving curriculum excellence across all key stages.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an active teaching commitment in Art while supporting strategic direction of the Faculty.
• Develop and deliver a creative, innovative and well‑sequenced curriculum for all key stages.
• Mentor and develop colleagues, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.
• Lead co‑curricular programmes such as exhibitions, competitions and enrichment activities.
• Utilise technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning across the Faculty.
• Use assessment data effectively to support student progress and raise achievement.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Art, Art & Design or related field, with PGCE (or equivalent) and QTS.
• Proven track record of high‑quality Art teaching and positive student outcomes.
• Potential to step into middle leadership, modelling excellent classroom practice.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with students, staff and parents.
• Growth mindset with commitment to continuous professional development.
