Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer patrols all areas of the property, assists guests with room access and monitors safety systems. This role ensures a secure environment by responding to emergencies, handling incidents and maintaining confidentiality of all reports.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor closed‑circuit television (CCTV), perimeter alarm, duress and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances, conduct daily hazard inspections and respond to accidents, providing first aid or CPR when needed.
• Defuse guest or employee disturbances, escort unwelcome persons and handle complaints.
• Complete incident, loss‑prevention and daily activity reports while maintaining confidentiality.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence and conduct interviews with relevant parties.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to stand, walk, run and lift up to 50 lb unassisted (and up to 75 lb with assistance).
• Willingness to work shifts and respond quickly to emergencies.

Required skills

• CCTV monitoring.
• Alarm system operation.
• First aid and CPR certification.
