Security Officer

About the role

A hotel in Dubai is looking for a full-time Security Officer. The role covers access control, patrols, equipment checks and incident reporting, keeping the premises safe while supporting guests, staff and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the premises, prevent unauthorised entry and manage visitor and contractor passes
• Carry out regular security patrols of internal and external areas, including monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV systems
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Provide traffic control and enforce parking restrictions where required
• Maintain all logbooks, records and documentation according to the Assignment Instructions
• Test security equipment routinely and report faults or defects
• Follow health and safety procedures, record hazards and accidents, and keep walkways and emergency escape routes clear
• Investigate fire alarm activations and respond to emergencies following established protocols
• Support and guide staff, visitors and contractors while maintaining security
• Report security incidents, breaches and suspicious activity, liaise with emergency services and external security personnel when needed, and contribute to security awareness initiatives

Required profile

• Fluent English is essential
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
• Professional appearance and attitude
