Senior Accountant – Chinese Speaker

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant who is fluent in Chinese to support the Finance Manager in daily accounting operations across the UAE. This hands‑on role ensures the integrity of the general ledger, oversees month‑end and year‑end closings, and guides junior and outsourced accounting staff.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily accounting entries and general ledger postings for all group entities.
• Verify accuracy, classification, and completeness of supporting documents.
• Prepare balance‑sheet schedules, account reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support monthly and year‑end closing processes to agreed deadlines.
• Review employee reimbursements, identify abnormal expense patterns and provide cost‑control suggestions.
• Coach junior staff, ensure timely completion of bookkeeping tasks, and maintain documentation standards.
• Prepare and support quarterly UAE VAT returns and corporate tax filings.
• Assist with audit schedules and act as a key contact during external audits.
• Provide ad‑hoc reporting and finance support to the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (ACCA preferred).
• Minimum 48 months (4 years) of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multi‑entity environment.
• Fluency in Chinese (spoken and written) is essential.
• Strong logical thinking and ability to spot accounting or tax irregularities.
