Senior Accountant – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing proprietary trading firm in Dubai. The successful candidate will own the company’s financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, maintain regulatory compliance, and support management with budgeting and financial planning as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management.
• Reconcile bank accounts and monitor company expenses.
• Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits.
• Maintain compliance with UAE financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Support management with financial analysis and business insights.
• Work closely with external auditors, banks, and service providers.
• Assist in improving financial processes and controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services, fintech, trading, or startup environments.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit processes.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent are a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
