Senior Accountant

About the role

Arabian Trading Agency is looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to lead its finance function in Dubai. The role involves overseeing all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial insights to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
• Conduct ledger maintenance, account reconciliations and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Coordinate with banks for overdraft facilities and trade credit.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, VAT submission and corporate tax calculations.
• Liaise with external auditors and support payroll processing with HR.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and ensure data confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a senior accountant role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CIMA/ACCA/CA qualification preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Focus ERP software.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
