Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Dubai. The role involves managing core accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including bookkeeping, journal entries, receipts, and payments
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial and sales reports
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Perform bank, AP, and AR reconciliations
• Support cash flow management, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Conduct debtor ageing analysis and maintain vendor records
• Ensure VAT and tax compliance, including tax computations and reporting
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Support internal and external audits and maintain audit‑ready documentation
• Liaise with banks, clients, and relevant stakeholders as required

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
• ACCA or CA qualification is a plus
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, financial reporting, reconciliations, VAT, and taxation
• Advanced Excel skills are essential
• Zoho experience is preferred
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities
• Arabic language skills are desirable but not mandatory
