Senior Accountant

About the role

ABC Cargo UAE is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to independently manage the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting and compliance in Dubai. The role involves overseeing the full accounting cycle and supporting tax and audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting, month‑end closing and financial reporting.
• Handle bank, branch and intercompany reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and collections reporting.
• Prepare cash flow reports, budgets and variance analysis.
• Support UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Coordinate audit requirements and maintain accurate financial documentation.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accurate ERP accounting records.

Required profile

• M.Com or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE accounting experience, including senior‑level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and UAE VAT/Corporate Tax.
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation and reporting abilities with high attention to detail.
• Experience in cargo, courier, logistics or transportation is an advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA or CMA are a plus.
