Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant leads the day‑to‑day accounting function for Daikan Hospitality Group, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial records for the FZCO entity and all its outlets. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role works closely with Operations, HR, and Purchasing to provide reliable outlet‑level financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS, including outlet‑level P&L, budgets, forecasts and management reports.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing, journal entries, accruals, provisions, depreciation and general ledger accuracy.
• Oversee bank, cash, POS, card, delivery platform, inter‑company, supplier and balance‑sheet reconciliations while strengthening internal controls.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, payment runs, cash‑flow, payroll accounting, UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance, and coordinate external audits.
• Maintain accounting systems, supervise finance staff, manage inventory and fixed assets, update SOPs and ensure audit‑ready records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA) preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role, preferably in hospitality, F&B or multi‑outlet environments.
• Strong UAE experience, including VAT, corporate tax and free‑zone (FZCO) reporting.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS, month‑end close, reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with accounting ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, Odoo, Tally, Zoho Books).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial models).
• High attention to detail, integrity and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken English and clear communication with non‑finance teams.
